Kennedy International Airport after a 12-year hiatus.<\/p>\n<p>The multi-award winning airliner is scheduled to launch its new operations from Addis Ababa to New York in June. The move, which is reportedly being finalized, will make New York the airliners\u2019 fourth destination in the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew York is one of the world\u2019s most economically powerful cities and including it in our ever expanding network will play a critical role in the expansion of trade, tourism and investment between the fast growing continent of Africa and the United States,\u201d said Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.<\/p>\n<p>Ethiopian Airlines will use only state-of-the-art aircrafts for flights on this route. According to reports, the airliner\u2019s Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be used for round trips between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethiopianairlines.com\/corporate\/media\/news\/latest-press\">Addis Ababa and New York<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ethiopian Airlines\u2019 flights from Addis Ababa to JFK are scheduled to depart on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings.<\/p>\n<p>The new one-stop service linking New York and Addis Ababa will have a stop in Togo\u2019s capital Lome. Lome is home to ASky Airlines, an Ethiopian Airline partner.<\/p>\n<p>Ethiopian Airlines officials say the Addis Ababa-Lome-New York flight will <a href=\"http:\/\/www.airlinesanddestinations.com\/airlines\/ethiopian-airlines-to-return-to-new-york-after-12-year-absence\/\">offer passengers connectivity<\/a> to several economic hubs and tourist destinations across West Africa. These destinations include Abidjan, Bamako, Conakry, Dakar, Douala, Lagos, Libreville, Kinshasa and N\u2019djamena.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zegabi.com\/articles\/9636\">Ethiopian Airlines<\/a> has a global reach with 92 international destinations across five continents.
