{"id":60075,"date":"2022-03-31T15:27:22","date_gmt":"2022-03-31T19:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zegabi.com\/articles\/?p=60075"},"modified":"2022-03-31T15:27:22","modified_gmt":"2022-03-31T19:27:22","slug":"at-least-37-troops-of-rebel-shane-force-killed-in-counter-offensive-in-central-amhara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.zegabi.com\/articles\/60075","title":{"rendered":"At least 37 troops of rebel \u2018Shane\u2019 force killed in counter offensive in central Amhara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>At least 37 troops of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) were killed in a counter offensive that took place in Minjar-Shenkora, central Shoa zone in Amhara region.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>The offensive came after OLF troops also known as \u2018Shane\u2019 had killed civilians mainly women and children as well as attacked members of the federal army at the same place.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>The OLF troops were <\/strong><strong>shot dead <\/strong><strong>by local militia who launched <\/strong><strong>the <\/strong><strong>counter offensive against <\/strong><strong>the <\/strong><strong>OLF troops who were opening fire against civilians.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Zegabi.com has learned that IDs of the Oromia Special Force have been recovered from pockets of some dead OLF troops.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, forces of the Tigray People\u2019s Liberation Front (TPLF) have got the upper hand over the Afar troops in a fresh fighting occurring in the Abaala area of Afar region.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Information reaching Zegabi.com confirmed that the Afar fighters have been overwhelmed by the invading Tigrayan forces that have controlled two more localities in Afar region since Wednesday.<\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>More numbers of soldiers, however, were killed from the TPLF side that launched during the renewed fighting which reports said was highly backed by heavy weapons. <\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Afar Special Force and fighters have not got the support of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) for undisclosed reasons for several months.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least 37 troops of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) were killed in a counter offensive that took place in Minjar-Shenkora, central Shoa zone in Amhara region.
