Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed dismissed speculations that the government was compelled by foreign super powers especially by the United States to release political prisoners including Sebehat Nega, founder of the Tigray People\u2019s Liberation Front (TPLF).<\/p>\n
In a special event organized for visiting Ethiopian Diaspora at the national palace, Abiy said his government faced no external pressure to set free TPLF leaders.<\/p>\n
Ethiopians, however, continue to express resentment over Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed\u2019s decision to release Tigray People\u2019s Liberation Front (TPLF) leaders who are accused of leading several atrocities across the country.<\/p>\n
According to the premier, every decision that his government makes is based on three key principles: sovereignty of Ethiopia, national interest and the dignity of Ethiopia.<\/p>\n
He claimed his government will not accept anything, in its diplomatic and political dealings with \u201cdonor countries\u201d , if any one of those principles are missing.<\/p>\n
\u201cTrust me the government\u2019s decision is in the best interest of the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Kombolcha Industrial Park has resumed operation, its CEO announced in Tuesday.<\/p>\n
